Special insulation protects sensitive system components (e.g. USB port) against overvoltages and various interferences, separating them from the autogas controller. This makes the interface more stable and less sensitive to interference coming from the car, e.g. high voltage on the ignition coil and interference pulses that may cause the connection to drop.
